OzXposure - Eastern Dream 21 day tour
Whitsundays and Reef
Heading north we reach Airlie Beach where our 20 metre yacht awaits for an exciting 2 day and 2 night sailing cruise through the beautiful Whitsunday Islands – a highlight of the trip, you will live aboard and cruise between the islands where we moor to explore or snorkel the reef. We also visit Whitsunday Island famous for the gorgeous Whitehaven beach.
Our next stop is two nights at a resort in Mission Beach where your days are free to try out the many activities available on Australia’s East Coast – chose from white-water rafting on the Tully River, a tandem sky dive over the beach, sea kayaking or hiking through the rainforest. There is also plenty of time to relax on the beautiful beaches or take a boat over to Dunk Island.
We then head further north through Cairns and the Daintree Forest to Cape Tribulation with an overnight stay in a rainforest lodge. The next day we start the day with an exhilarating sunrise sea kayaking trip complete with breakfast before exploring the rainforest hiking trails around Mossman Gorge and head back to Cairns.
Our final day is onboard a catamaran for a full day tour to the Outer Barrier Reef – a fantastic way to end the journey. You can try your hand at scuba diving (no experience needed) or snorkelling amongst the colourful coral – there is plenty of time to see the vast diversity of marine life including stingrays, blue starfish and the multi-coloured coral.
Islands and Heading Bush
We leave Sydney and head up the coast to Barrington Tops where our unique country retreat offers the option of river kayaking or mountain biking. Enroute to Queensland we stop off in Byron Bay where you can try surfing or hand gliding.
Heading north along the coast to Scarborough, we pick up our 4WD for our 2 day tour of Moreton Island where we find the world’s highest sand dunes, miles of deserted beaches and forests dotted with stunning crystal clear lakes. Hike the walking trails, visit the Tangalooma Wrecks and spot dolphins or pods of whales in season – there is also the opportunity to explore shipwrecks and swim in the Blue Lagoon.
We leave the coast for a 2 night stay on our secluded cattle station. Enjoy home cooked meals and a great family atmosphere on this outback station where you saddle up a horse or ride on a motorbike and help out on this huge working cattle farm.
We leave the Australian bush and cruise out to Great Keppel Island where sun, sand and sails await for a 2 night stay! The island is surrounded by white sandy beaches and stunning clear waters so enjoy sunbathing, watersports, snorkelling and hiking.
