Tricketts Bed & Breakfast Hotel
Location:3kms West from Sydney
Description:

HERITAGE MANSION
Tricketts was built by a wealthy merchant in the 1880s down on Glebe Point near the Harbour in an area much favoured by Sydney's affluent citizens.
In the 1920's the mansion was purchased by the government and became a boys home for many years. Later it became the Children's Court as its ballroom made a good courtroom.
Stepping into Tricketts is like stepping back into a bygone era with lovely Victorian tessellated tiles in the hallway massive high ornate ceilings and polished floorboards warmed by exotic Persian rugs. The fine heavy colonial antiques complement the rich deep colours of these floors and rugs.
There are seven guest bedrooms all with ensuites  One king size bed five with queen and one with twin beds; all furnished with antiques and Persian carpets.
There are four bedrooms downstairs and three upstairs all with ensuites. Each bedroom is individually decorated but all have the polished floors  antique honey pine furniture and fully airconditioned and centrally heated.
Large verandahs and front lawns with century-old trees create a peaceful haven from the city's bustle and are a perfect retreat for a quiet read.
