Description: The Mediterranean Port Douglas is a modern boutique style 23 unit complex, consisting of spacious studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments plus a large three bedroom penthouse apartment with adjoining rooftop and outdoor garden spa area. Each one, two and three bedroom apartments are large and fully self-contained with full kitchen and laundry facilities provided. The studio rooms are spacious and some include a double sofa bed and all include a microwave, toaster, iron and tea and coffee making facilities but do not have laundry facilities. Our one, two and three bedroom apartments are very spacious and fully self contained with full kitchen and full laundry facilities. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and provide Austar cable and local television channels. The complex has security parking and features a striking pool, spa and barbeque gazebo area with surrounding beautiful tropical gardens. The Mediterranean is located opposite the Sheraton Mirage Resort on Port Douglas Road and is a short 350 metres walk to the beautiful Four Mile beach. The main village area of Port Douglas is a short 1.5 kilometres or a 15-20 minute walk away. There are several restaurants and a small shopping centre, golf courses and a country club/gymnasium within five minutes walking distance of the hotel and a local shuttle bus stop 50 metres away. This local bus service completes a circuit of Port Douglas every quarter of an hour (for a small fee), commencing at 7.30am each morning and stopping at 02.00am the following morning. Alternatively, it will take approximately 20 minutes to walk the 1 kilometre distance along Port Douglas road to the main shopping and restaurant areas. If you wish to eat in, there are take away menus in an information book in the room, as well as some other local information.
