Description: Renovated in 2006, this familiy-friendly ski hotel is on the site of the oldest inn in the United Kingdom and comprises a total of 54 rooms. It is known that this spot has been in continuous use since 961 AD and has had a chequered history throughout the years. It is certainly at the highest altitude, being just over 640 m above sea level. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a cloakroom, a café, a bar and a pub. It also offers a games room, a TV lounge and a restaurant. There are conference facilities, and guests may also take advantage of WLAN Internet access. Younger guests will enjoy the children's playground. All rooms have a direct dial telephone, timed heating and colour TV. A hairdryer, shoe-cleaning equipment and an iron and ironing board, for use in the bedroom, are available from reception. Furthermore, tea and coffee making facilities and a double bed are provided in all accommodation as standard. |
