Description: Glenisla Homestead is one of the most historic and photographed homesteads in Australia. The homestead was built from colourful Grampians sandstone surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden abounding with bird life. The nearby mountains and their rugged formations are a beautiful background for the tall redgum trees magnificent waterfalls Aboriginal art sites native flora and fauna including emus kangaroos koalas possums and a vast range of native bird life for which this area is renowned. Guided tours are also available. Glenisla produces superfine wool from their 5000 Merino sheep and beef cattle on 2000 acres and guests are welcome to participate in farm activities.
