Description: Let our friendly Tassie crew help you relax and show you around Tasmania. We provide much more than a bed for the night. We can help with tour information & sales, or plan an itinerary around our amazing State in a car. We have all the usual facilities of a hostel, and then some extras. We have 2 lounges, 2 kitchens, a courtyard with free BBQ, an organic herb garden, balcony and more. Our building used to be a parsonage, even with a bell tower. It has also been a hotel, and bed & breakfast. We have captured the charm of the old Victorian Italianette and installed brand new bathrooms, beds, etc. Reception is open from 8am until 9pm, but we have 24 hour access with PIN code entry. If you are arriving late, let us know and we can arrange simple late check in process for you. You can walk from our front door to just about everywhere in Launceston. Within a few minutes is the Museum & Art Gallery, the Seaport, City Park, Cataract Gorge reserve (the Gorge bridge is further), the Mall, etc. Safety is a prime concern, which is why we have state-of-the-art smoke/fire detection linked directly to the fire brigade. We have sprinklers throughout the entire hostel, and there are 2 fire escapes from 1st floor. |
