Description: Royston Cottage is situated in the heart of historic Battery Point. Built 1840c, as a stable near the main house, it has been converted into a cosy one bedroom self-contained cottage for two that offers off street parking and privacy all within a secluded setting. The garden has old-fashioned roses, peonies, blue bells, foxgloves and camellias. The house is on the National Trust Register. When you arrive we offer complimentary port and chocolates. A queen size bed with a choice of duck down or feather pillows with Laura Ashley bed linen will ensure a comfy nights sleep. The mornings are filled with the sound of birdsong, and on Monday evening you can hear to the church bells ringing in the distance. We offer you the choice each morning of continental breakfast provisions - fresh fruit in season and yoghurt to have with your cereal and orange juice ? along with local fresh baked bread with a selection of home made jams, raspberry, apricot, silverberry and more. Or you may prefer to enjoy breakfast at the local bakery or cafés, just a stroll around the corner. There are many excellent local restaurants and reservations can be made for you upon request. Unwind, relax and step back in time wandering around Battery Point enjoying delightful cottages on every corner along with water views and Mt Wellington forever in sight. Fresh milk, herbal teas, teas, coffee and biscuits are provided. A selection of digital video disc player movies are available for when you just want to sit back and put those tired feet up. Salamanca Markets are held each Saturday with local crafts, art, buskers and a variety of food, a must for any visitor. Wrest Point Hotel is within walking distance or a short car trip. Constitution Dock is always a great place to wander and maybe take a boat trip around the Derwent River or have some wonderful seafood, including fish and chips. Hobart city centre is a 10 minute walk. Royston Cottage is an ideal stay to experience life in and around Battery Point and we are here on hand to help you find your way around.
