Description: Louisa's Cottage Colonial Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Sandy Bay a 10-minute drive from central Hobart. The house has five guest bedrooms. Each room has its own particular style and offers quality bed linen, quilts, doonas, wool blankets, a selection of pillows, hair dryer, heating, television and clock radios. Classified by the National Trust Louisa's Cottage was Miss Louisa Merridew's home from 1910 to 1991. The grace and quiet of this 1884 residence can still be felt with much of the original furnishings remaining, including family portraits and paintings. Located within five minutes' drive, or 15 minutes' walk, of historic Battery Point, the Wrest Point Hotel and Conference Centre and the University of Tasmania, Louisa's Cottage provides quality four-star accommodation for the traveller, business or conference visitor.
