Description: Barton Cottage and its Coach House were built in 1837 by Captain William Wilson. Both have kept their old world character while being fully renovated with modern facilities. In the cottage youll be served a full cooked breakfast. In the Coach House youll have your own kitchen, stocked with provisions to fully cook your own breakfast.



Start the day with a stroll to Battery Points guns installed in 1818. Then wander the Battery Point streets edged with flowery gardens in front of quaint cottages. There are corner shops and old street lamps, antique shops and tea shops. Close by are the art studios, curio shops, restaurants and cafes of Salamanca Place, where the lively market is held each Saturday, and a little further on Sullivans Cove, thronged with fishing boats and lined with colonial architecture in sandstone.

From Hobart its an easy drive to the summit of Mount Wellington, the east coast, the Tasman Peninsula, the Huon Valley, the south west wilderness. And on your return, after dinner in one of Hobarts top restaurants, relax in the supreme comfort of a canopied brass bed at Barton.
