Located at the foot of magnificent Mt. Mulligan in a truly outback setting the homestead was built in 1936 as a hospital and although slightly modernised still retains much of its original charm and character.
Mt. Mulligan Station Outback Farmstay offers simple but comfortable accommodation to suit families couples groups of friends or individuals. We have five guest bedrooms - two twin two double and a triple all with shared bathroom facilities. There's also the option of sleeping outdoors in true outback style - round a cosy campfire beneath a million stars in your very own swag!

ACTIVITIES: A ride through the open forest below Mt. Mulligan is a wonderful way to see the breathtaking landscape and wildlife. Rides usually take place in the cool of the late afternoon and last approximately two hours. Early morning rides can be arranged upon request. All rides are guided in small groups and we cater for all levels of riders from beginners to advanced. Safety helmets are also provided.. Horse riding is available to farmstay guests only.

If you enjoy bushwalking there are several amazing trails ranging from a one hour easy stroll to a three hour strenuous hike. Otherwise you can help feed the cattle during a 4WD tour of the property. You can explore the historical sites that remain of the old coal mining town and with the Hodgkinson River and the Mulligan Weir close by there are plenty of opportunities to cool off and go swimming or fishing. For those that are feeling really fit there are a couple of mountain bikes for guests to use.
