Description: Located just minutes from Cairns Central Business District and International Airport is Figtree Lodge. This three and a half star property features an open plan design set amidst tropical landscaped gardens and is built with the extensive use of natural timbers. The lodge has 46 Standard Rooms of varying configurations. Rooms are well appointed and nicely furnished, decorated with wrought iron and rattan cane furniture, terracotta tiles, wooden louver blinds and colourful fabrics creating a contemporary Mediterranean feel. In 2001 it was necessary to compliment current facilities with the addition of 10 spacious Studio Apartments. Modern decor, warm colours and kitchenettes feature in these units. In the heart of the property you will find Willie McBride's Irish Bar. A fabulous example of an authentic Victorian Dublin Pub - a charming reminder of days gone by. Complete with ornate timberwork, polished brass fittings, etched and leadlight glasswork, private booths and a pressed metal ceiling, it's truly a little masterpiece. Willie McBride's Restaurant offers indoor dining in the corral, or outdoor dining on the pool deck covered by an enormous sail. The Restaurant is well known for its superb steaks, sensational seafood, and regional cuisine, and has become a very popular destination with the locals. As a privately owned establishment, Figtree Lodge prides itself on the warm and friendly environment that has been created.
