Cairns City Backpackers is small, quiet and friendly, and is ideally located just a short walk from the heart of the city. Cairns City Backpackers consists of two fully renovated Queenslander houses loaded with character, and a tropical, fully landscaped garden which includes hundreds of palm trees, a great swimming pool and lots of hammocks for you to chill out in. Naturally there is a TV and DVD area, cheap internet with 24 hour access and a guest phone. There is also a home gym to help people keep themselves in shape. The Cairns City Backpackers provide a 24 check in service but they will need to know in advance if you are going to arrive before 7.30 am or after 10 pm. Accomodation consists of clean and comfortable air conditioned single, double, twin, 4 and 6 bed dorms. The dorms include air conditioning except for the cooler months from May to September. In the private rooms air conditioning is an extra $4 per room. Many have their own private shower facilities. All rooms have fresh linen and towels are available free of charge. Make sure you make the most of our tropical pool and our fully landscaped garden with hammocks, or if you prefer something a little less shady how about our sun deck complete with views. There is also a free home gym to help people keep themselves in shape and a billiard table in the entertainment area for those rainy days when you are sick of watching movies. The friendly and helpful staff has lots of good local advice and information about tours including access to standby specials. All staff have an abundance of Cairns local knowledge and they are happy to advise you and book you on available tours in Far North Queensland. From the Great Barrier Reef sailing and cruising adventures to eco trips, diving or snorkelling.... the list of holiday activities is endless.T hey can even arrange you a hire car so you can explore the Cairns and Far North region at your own leisure.
