This backpacker's hostel is a colonial style Queenslander house dating back to the 1860's - full of character and homey comforts, designed to make any traveler feel at home. Ideally Located near an area famed for it's night clubs, within a ten minute walk to supermarkets, and a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre, this hostel is far enough off the main road and party areas that once you're done living it large, you can still manage to get a good night's sleep. This Property is small enough that you can get to know the other guests with ease, but large enough that you won't feel hemmed in or packed into tiny rooms. With ample facilities and large, spacious common area's both inside and outside, you'll find this a great place to relax, and to our friendly staff, you're more than just a number. With free pick up from the local train station or transit centre, free parking and free breakfast in a quite area within easy walking distance of the excitement and fun of Brisbane, why chose anywhere else? Valley Veranda's provides a free breakfast every morning, free parking, free pick up from the local train station, and from the Roma Street transit-center bus station in the city, to arrange pick up, simply call us when you get there, and we will come and collect you. We have a kitchen stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking implements, fridge and cupboard space for all rooms, two microwaves, several rice cookers, two gas hobs, a toaser, kettle and an electric cooker with grill and oven. We also provide free tea and coffee. In addition to this we can store your luggage securely for you for a few days while you take in the sights and attractions elsewhere in Queensland. We have internet facilities at $1 for 15 minutes. We can also assist you with local tours, including our Australia Zoo deal which picks you up from our front gate and drops you back here again, and the less local tours such as Fraser Island, and the Whitsundays, we can aid you with travel arrangements, book bus tickets for you and offer advise on hostels to stay at in other towns. Our friendly staff are also available to help you find anything you wish in Brisbane and we have free maps readily available.
