Tamborine Mountain

28 miles inland from the Gold Coast beaches lies Tamborine Mountain, a 600m high plateau at the northern end of the McPherson Range. Here there are excellent rainforest walking trails criss-crossing the gorges and waterfalls that run through the nine small national parks of the region.

The views further inland or back towards the coast are spectacular. There are numerous bed and breakfasts and cottages, which combined with the scenery, arts and crafts stores and fine restaurants, make this the ideal spot for a break from the more hectic pace of life on the Gold Coast.
