Freycinet Experience offers you a special experience – the chance to stay in intimate eco-lodge on the edge of Freycinet National Park at Friendly Beaches.The Lodge sits lightly on the landscape and has won awards for sustainable design and tourism. It uses solar power, and the elegant timber framed sleeping quarters and lodge are linked with raised wooden walkways. The guides are trained in the environmental sciences, botany, history and geography.Each night is spent at the lodge and after a hearty breakfast you head out with your guide to explore Schouten Island, Cooks Beach (with an optional walk over Mount Graham) to Wineglass Bay, and Bluestone Bay to Friendly Beaches – and all you carry is a light daypack.The Freycinet Peninsula is one of the most precious areas of Tasmania. It sits just below 42 degrees south and has a classic temperate climate, perfect for walking. Quolls, wombats, black swans and sea eagles abound, and seals and dolphins can be spotted in the Park’s crystal waters.A certain level of fitness is required as the walks are designed so that people who exercise can enjoy the trip.The trip includes all meals and wine, all transport within Tasmania, three nights twin share lodge accommodation, experienced guides, national park passes, backpack and waterproof jacket hire.Groups are kept small – minimum six, maximum 10 people.An age group of 18 - 70 years is well catered for as are children over 12 years.Cost: $1975.00 per person.
